I had the privilege to shoot the new Porsche GT3R for Porsche Design and Craft Bamboo Racing for the new upcoming Macau Grand Prix. And to have the opportunity to show the photos at an art gallery one the same day as the Race Car was revealed was an Honour. This task was one of the most energetic projects I have been part off and I would like to say thank you to Porsche Design and Craft Bamboo Racing to make it happen.
Mountain after mountain, small cotton sized clouds scattered over the blue sky, the fresh air fills your lungs like you never felt oxygen before, it's not just a photographic adventure, it is a healing process at the same time.
it’s hard to believe your own eyes when you are entering the amazing landscape Norway has to offer. You will feel small and humble of what Mother Nature has created, and how small you feel next to the gigantic mountains.
The fresh air is breezing towards my face while I’m trying to take a picture of two mountain tops in the distance, I’m having a trouble to take it all in, because one photo is not enough to explain the feeling I have by standing here.
My mind is thinking, I wanna share this with my followers, but how? The only thing I can do is to share what I see and trust my instincts to make sure that the photos and the feeling I have being here is merged together.
Back at home in Hong-kong I don’t struggle that much, I understand very clear what I want to take a photo of and how, but here in this majestic landscape I having the challenge between taking the photo or enjoying the moment without taking the photo. For me this is probably the very first time I actually have met this kind of challenge.
Right now I’m on my way to a place called Ålesund it’s a city on the north west of Norway, that is where my family is from, I been there one time before but not as a photographer, so I’m excited and little nervous at the same time.
The daylight here in Norway lasts to 2-3am, and the sun goes up again at 5am, it feels like time stands still and the nature just want you to take your time to photograph her best angles. I started my career as a landscape photography, and by being in Norway, I understand more why I enjoyed landscape photography in the past because it is so peaceful, basically it is just you and the nature, like a movie of a lonely hunter with a bow and arrow, but switched out with a camera, and you are just waiting for the right moment to get the shot.
Here is a small collection of some of my photos from my previous photoshoots.
Right now i’m currently in Taiwan and testing out the dynamic range on the Light L16. And for the first time I had the chance to really dive in to the black and white photography world with the L16, and I was very happy with the result. The L16 camera is really breaking limits of what I thought was possible, this camera is outshining a lot of the bigger brands out there when it comes to landscape photography or subjects that stands still. The amount of details you get in the photos is fantastic. This is by far the best travel camera on the market, and it only keeps getting better on every update.
More information about the camera go to this webpage : www.light.co
One of the benefits by living in one of the largest cities in the world is to have the ability to shoot long exposure right outside your door step.
One of my passions is street photography. There is something about capturing something that happened right there at that time and can share a story about the person or situation in an a blink of a second.
I had the pleasure to visit Japan / Tokyo for 4 days in May 2018, here some the photos I shot with the Canon 5D mk4
While my stay in Japan / Tokyo, I shot a lot of photos with the new L16 camera. If you don’t know what the L16 camera is then you can read more about it at www.light.co
I will say that the camera performed very well in both daylight and nighttime, and I have stated that the L16 might be the best travel camera at the market at this very moment.
Since I saw the very first Blade Runner movie I became a huge fan of saturated colours, especially the combination of orange and Cyan Blue. So few days ago it was heavy rain here in Hong Kong, so I took my Light L16 camera out to shoot some photos around the urban area of the city.
Im using the Lumen tool to do the pre-processing such as Exposure / contrast etc, then I open the photos in Lightroom and continue the process there.
I will later on make a tutorial on how to do this prosess from the beginning to an end. And also put the presets up for sale on my website.
Here is some of the photos I have shot with the L16 camera around Hongkong.
